Pop culture is a language with a constantly shifting vocabulary —new references, new canon, new reasons for everyone in the room to either get it or not get it.

The Academy's position: the tee is the fastest way to establish which side of that line you're on.

No explanation in the graphic. No caption needed for the shirt. If the right person sees it, they'll know. If the wrong person doesn't, that was always the point.
