At some point food stopped being a category of your life and became a lens you look at the rest of it through.

You have opinions about salt. You have a position on a restaurant that closed for years ago. You will drive a genuinely unreasonable distance for a specific version of a specific thing, and you consider that a normal  way to spend an evening, because it is.

The Academy recognizes this as a discipline, not a hobby. Hobbies are optional. This clearly isn't.

The designs in this collection don't explain themselves to people who eat to stay alive. They weren't made for them.
